The king of cricket, Mr. Calm “Misbah-Ul-Haq.”
Misbah-Ul-Haq was born on May 28, 1974, in the city of Punjab, Mianwali. The middle order batsman is the backbone of Pakistani team. He gave his exceptional batting services to Faisalabad Wolves, Islamabad United, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sargodha, St Lucia Zouks and Khan Research Labs. The calm minded batsman is currently one of the oldest players who is giving services to his country. If I could say, he is the living legend of Pakistan’s team; then it will not be wrong.
The test, T20 and ODI career of Misbah.
T20 international: Misbah played 39 T20 international matches and scored 788 runs with a healthy average of 37.52. He played with a strike rate of 110.20 that was a slap on the faces of those people who thinks that Misbah plays slow and only for his records. 87 not out was the highest score of his innings.
ODI Career: He played 162 ODI matches and scored 5122 runs at a healthy average of 43.40 runs. In 169 games, he wasn’t able to score a single century because he only plays for his country, not for his records.
Test Career: The calmest captain of the world, Misbah played 74 test matches and scored 5161 runs at an average of 46.91 runs per innings. Ten centuries are in the record list of his career. His highest 161 runs were against India back in 2007 on the soil of Kolkata.
The successful captain of Pakistan:
Captaining Pakistan’s international team is one of the hard things, but Misbah has done a brilliant job by keeping all the players united. He captained Pakistan’s team for almost 7-years and achieved a lot of stuff for his country. In his reign, Pakistan’s team was named the top test team of the entire globe. It was such a brilliant achievement.
Apart from these achievements, Misbah’s is the only captain of Pakistan who named in 5-wisdom players of the world. His winning average is best from all other captains.
You may call him TUK TUK, you can call him lazy. But in your hearts, I know you still hope for Pakistan Win when other players are throwing their wickets away, and he is still on the crease. He is the perfect example of a lone warrior.
The road from spot-fixing scandal to test’s number one team:
Whenever the word spot-fixing comes to mind, it takes us back in 2010 when Pakistani players sold their fame and dignity of the country just for the money. After this incident, the command of captaincy comes in the hand of Misbah. He with his full experience and leadership took Pakistan to the spot of world’s number one Test team in the world. There came many hardships in his career. Many international Pakistani crickets blamed himself for playing slow, but they didn’t know that when Misbah is out, there will be the lines of the wicket and Pakistani team will spread on the ground like the sand.
He with his leadership gave the real concepts of the game to young players. During his reign of captaincy, there came many young players like Shadab, Amir, Yasir, Nawaz, Imad and much more. If I could say he was the one who had full control of nerves on the ground whatever the conditions may be, then this will not be a wrong sentence. He is the calmest and current player from the Pakistani side.
