The West Indies Women’s Cricket Team reached Karachi, for three T-twenty match series, on Wednesday. Pakistan is hosting international cricket once again showing its ability. PCB provide heavy security to the visiting squad between the airport and the hotel. The team traveled to the hotel in bulletproof buses. The West Indies skipper Merissa Aguilera said that the security on roads was good which shows the system is top class. Moreover, everybody has put the security in place.
The terrorists attacked the bus of Siri Lanka Test cricket team resulting death of six police officers and two folks. The two six members of visiting team got injured in March 2009. After the attack, Pakistan hosted limited over series against Zimbabwe, Siri Lanka, West Indies, and World XI. Also, The Bangladesh women’s cricket team toured Pakistan for limited overs series in 2015.
Stefanie Taylor, the regular captain of the team, will skipper the matches in Karachi. She will rejoin the team in Dubai for one-day internationals against Pakistan next month. Aguilera said that the squad would miss their skipper. Also, she thinks it is the best chance for players to step up. The team has potential and will do the best of their abilities. Pakistan Cricket Board warmly received the touring squad and provided top class security
